Behind closed doors: child and early marriage as slavery

In this report, Anti-Slavery International clearly articulate when child, early and forced marriage constitutes slavery, forced labour and trafficking.

Their research shows that the levels of abuse, exploitation and control experienced by children as a result of marriage can often meet internationally recognised definitions. 

They call on the United Nations and International Labour Organisation to intensify their efforts to combat these harmful practices.
