Sexual rights & the universal periodic review: a toolkit for advocates

Developed by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and the Sexual Rights Initiative, this toolkit explains how civil society can engage with the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process to hold governments to account on sexual and reproductive rights.

The Universal Periodic Review mechanism of the United Nations Human Rights Council is used to review each of the UN Member States on their human rights record. It is a powerful tool to hold governments accountable for human rights violations, and to advocate for changes to particular laws and policies that impact on human rights related to child marriage.
