As Head of Development and Outreach at Girls Not Brides, Kate leads the team in building strong and strategic partnerships, fundraising for the global secretariat and managing and overseeing a calendar of outreach events to ensure the issue of child marriage remains on the international agenda.
Kate brings over 15 years of experience in international development and the UK charity sector, working on adolescent girl issues and fundraising for this work. She has worked on designing adolescent girl programmes and initiatives in Africa, designing, implementing and fundraising for mentoring programmes for girls in the UK and has a comprehensive understanding of the drivers which contribute to the inequities faced by girls and women globally. Kate is passionate about creating a fairer and more equitable world for women and girls and strongly believes in the power of partnerships and movements to make this happen.
Kate holds a BSc in Politics from the University of Bristol and has an MSc in International Development Studies from Birkbeck, University of London.
