Change and continuity in social norms and practices around marriage and education in Nepal

Developed by the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), this report looks at the changing social norms around child marriage in Nepal. While the practice is still prevalent and gendered social norms remain difficult to change, there are some promising trends: the age of marriage is slowly increasing and changes in higher education enrolment mean that more girls are accessing education. This report is part of a broader multi-country ODI study on gender justice for adolescent girls.
