The Adolescent Girls Empowerment Program: Lessons learned from the pilot test program

In this report, Population Council provide valuable insights and lessons learnt from the Zambian Adolescent Girls Empowerment Programme during its pilot phase. Girls in Zambia face a range of risks and vulnerabilities including high rates of child marriage, early pregnancy, school dropouts and high levels of gender-based violence.

The learnings from the pilot have helped to strengthen the programme design which will provide girls across Zambia with life skills, financial literacy, health vouchers and assistance in opening a 'Girls Dream' Saving Account.
